  • The cap is worn with the top parallel to the floor with the tassel on your right.

  • The gown is worn closed; please zip it all the way up before the processional begins.

  • No decorations should appear on the gown; you may decorate the top of the cap as long as the decorations are appropriate and flat for this formal event.  Nothing can hang down or be vertical on the cap.

  • Honor cords should be worn over the gown; you will pick these up in mid-May from your group sponsor/director.

  • Graduates should wear dress shoes or boots; do not wear flip-flops, sandals, work boots, or athletic shoes; please wear dress pants and a light colored or white button up dress shirt (tie is optional), a dress, or skirt and blouse.
